What’s the difference between full spectrum and broad spectrum CBD?
There are currently three main types of CBD in the market place.
Full Spectrum CBD contains all the cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids of the hemp plant. This includes THC. As per the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp was defined and legalized as a Cannabis plant with a THC level of 0.3% or below.
Full spectrum is also the most complete spectrum, the least processed and as of recently the most popular.
There is a large number of people who would like to enjoy the full potential benefits of hemp extracted cannabidiol, without the THC.
This is where broad spectrum CBD comes in. Similar to full spectrum, broad spectrum CBD contains all of the cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids. It is also credited with being able to provide you with the entourage effect.
This is where all of the compounds work together to potentially provide enhanced effects that occur when the large spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes that occur naturally in the cannabis plant are consumed together.
So what’s the major difference between the two?
Broad spectrum CBD has been processed one step further to remove THC.
This spectrum is widely credited as having the same potential benefits of full spectrum, but THC free.
To be perfectly transparent, there still might be extremely minute traces of THC in broad spectrum, but nowhere near the 0.3% that is allowed in full spectrum.
