Full Spectrum CBD

Full Spectrum CBD

You finally decided to try CBD. Super. Afterall you’ve heard so much about it from a large number of friends. A bunch of your friends and family members praise the improvements in their everyday lives, thanks in part to cannabidiol hemp extract.

You go online, with the intent to buy some, yet you don’t know much about it. You look at the many options available and become confused.

Confused lady on phone

That’s why we’re here. At The CBD Haven, we’re not only your one stop shop when looking to buy CBD online. We’re also here to help and educate you about anything and everything cannabidiol related.

Let’s start slow.

CBD, which stands for cannabidiol, is a phytocannabinoid derivative of the Cannabis plant. If your mind automatically jumps to marijuana, you’re not the only one.

When thinking of cannabis, majority of people will automatically jump to weed. That’s not always correct though.

There are two main types of subspecies of the cannabis plant. Marijuana, which is high in THC and low in CBD content is one of them. This is what most people associate with cannabis.

Joint

However, there’s a second type which is hemp. Hemp is a type of cannabis plant that has a high CBD content, and an extremely low THC content.

As a matter of fact, with the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, industrial hemp was not only legalized on a Federal level, but it was also removed from the Schedule I substance list, and defined as a cannabis plant with 0.3% THC content or lower.

That’s exciting.

Why get excited about hemp becoming legal you ask? Well according to our friends at Forbes:

“One of the most exciting applications of hemp lies in the extracted cannabinoids or CBD oil. According to the Washington Post, “dozens of studies have found evidence that the compound can treat epilepsy as well as a range of other illnesses, including anxiety, schizophrenia, heart disease, and cancer.” With the legalization of hemp, CBD can be regulated and researched much more than before to truly understand the medical efficacy for a wide range of diseases.”

That does sound exciting.

  2. What is full spectrum CBD?

  3. Best full spectrum CBD tincture?

  4. Will full spectrum CBD get me high?

  5. CBD full spectrum vs isolate?

Let’s jump right in and learn.

Types of CBD currently on the market?

You can currently purchase three main types of CBD online:

Recently CBC, CBG and CBN have started to become very popular as well. However, neither of those are technically cannabidiol. They are a similar derivate of the hemp plant and will most certainly be sold with a CBD tincture.

A good example is the CBDistillery - CBG + CBD Oil Tincture 1:1, which contains 500MG of full spectrum CBD and 500MG of CBG.

In this blog however, we are concentrating on cannabidiol alone.

What is full spectrum CBD?

What does full spectrum CBD mean? It means that the full spectrum extract CBD you purchased contains all of the cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes of the hemp plant. It is the least processed of all the spectrums.

This means you will also find traces of THC in full spectrum extract CBD. No more than 0.3%, but it is present.

Why is that important?

Some people don’t react well to THC. There’s a portion of the population that has THC induced panic.

Anxious Man

If you wanted to try CBD to help provide some relief for your angst and worries, but you try a product which actually can increase it, chances are you won’t be singing CBD praises.

You do have other options, such as broad spectrum CBD, or even CBD isolate. For a full write up, check out our BLOG on CBD spectrums.

Some are also afraid of failing a drug test. While 0.3% THC is minimal, it can build up in your system over time and can potentially lead to a failed drug test. Just a fair warning.

Best full spectrum CBD tincture?

This is a personal preference. Each of our bodies will respond differently. While technically full spectrum CBD should be identical across the board, you might build up a preference to a certain brand.

Some people love the Lazarus Naturals full spectrum oils, while others prefer NuLeaf Naturals.

First thing you need to do when ordering CBD online is ensure that the brand your picked has easily available Third Party Lab Analysis. This way you will always know what you’re getting.

If you define best CBD by the strength of the full spectrum CBD tincture, we suggest the CBDistillery Full Spectrum CBD Oil Tincture 5000mg. With a whopping 167MG per serving, this is an extremely strong option.

Will full spectrum CBD get me high?

Nope. Next question.

The fact is 0.3% THC is such as extremely small amount, you will not experience any psychoactive side effects.

Overtime, THC can build up in your system which can cause a failed drug test, but you will not get the feeling of being high.

CBD full spectrum vs isolate?

We have previously done a write up on CBD isolate, but thought it was important to compare the two.

As mentioned above, full spectrum CBD oil is the least processed and contains all of the cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes found in the hemp plant. Isolate on the other hand is exactly what it sounds like.

It is the most processed of all the spectrums, however it also is THC free.

During the extraction process, all additional cannabinoids, such as CBG and CBN, are removed and you’re left with pure 99% cannabidiol hemp extract.

Most brands typically add a carrier oil such as MCT, which also helps the bioavailability, or absorption rate to increase.
