All joking aside, this is a question that comes up fairly regularly, especially as the CBD market is growing in popularity. There are new consumers of CBD daily. With how easy it is to buy CBD online, not everyone does their research before placing an order.
This is why we strongly believe blogs like this are important, to help educate the consumer.

That is explosive growth.
Questions such as how much CBD should I take, are not always easy to answer.
The answer will depend on a large number of factors, including your reason for taking CBD oil, your application method, the type of spectrum used, and ultimately your own body.
We all respond differently, so taking your time trying to find the proper dosage for your ailment is important.

1. How much CBD should I take?
If you’re new to CBD and trying to figure out how much CBD oil should I take get ready to devote some time to experimenting. Unless you’re one of the lucky few ones that gets it right at the beginning.
The good news is, CBD has been proven safe and well tolerated by humans, even at high doses.
Up to now, there has not been a single case of cannabidiol overdose recorded.
Therefore, you should feel free to experiment with the proper dosage for you, as you see fit.
According to user reviews, average standard doses currently fluctuate between 30mg to 80mg daily. Your results and dosage may vary.
Your body’s response will depend on dosage, spectrum and your individual metabolism. There are some things to keep in mind, especially when it comes to spectrums.

Full spectrum CBD is the least processed and contains all cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes of the hemp plant. This includes THC. By law, hemp extracted full spectrum CBD oil cannot contain more than 0.3% THC by dry weight. The THC content is so minimal, you will not have any psychoactive side effects.
You still need to be careful, as over time THC can and does build up in your body and can cause you to fail a drug test.
That’s where broad spectrum and CBD isolate come into play. Both are THC Free, although some minute particles can still be found in broad spectrum. That’s because it is processed similarly to full spectrum.
It contains all the cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes, but it’s taken one step further to remove THC.
CBD isolate on the other hand is the most processed of the hemp extracted oils. That’s because everything, except CBD is removed. CBD isolate does not contain any additional cannabinoids, flavonoids, or terpenes.
It is pure CBD oil. Nothing else.
Those are the major differences, but there are more. For now you have a basic understanding of the uniqueness of each spectrum.
Now it’s time to drill it down a bit more and get slightly more specific.
It’s extremely important to note that not all cannabidiol oil is the same. The actual strength of the oil matters. This is why we discuss the dosage of CBD in MG’s, not the amount of oil in a dropper.
Make sure you calculate your dosage accordingly.
Most tincture bottles or packaging will show amount of CBD per ml (one full dropper). This is what you should base your dosage on.
2. How much CBD should I take for anxiety? How much CBD should I take for stress?
CBD dosage for anxiety will vary. Currently there are no recommended doses. Each of us will respond differently to cannabidiol oil, and it will also depend on the spectrum.
General rule of thumb is to start low and move up from there. If you’re new to CBD, you will need to consider all of your options.
Some people have THC induced anxiety, in which case the full spectrum CBD oil will only make your anxiety worse. Individual sensitivity to THC varies, but to be safe in those cases, broad spectrum or CBD isolate is recommended.
Start with a low dose of 20mg to 30mg per day. That would be 10mg/15mg in the morning, 10/15mg in the evening. See how you respond.
Do not get discouraged if it doesn't work, as these recommendations are just the beginning doses, so that you can gauge your response.
If no improvement noted, increase CBD oil dosage for anxiety after 5 days. Once you reach 100mg – 120mg per day, if no notable difference noticed, consider switching to a different spectrum, or a higher strength oil.
3. How much CBD should I take for sleep?
Once again, there’s no right answer. You have to give it a try and see how it works for you.
These are specially formulated for sleep, as they include other ingredients such as Lavender, Chamomile and Jasmine among others, which are known to promote sleep.

Their concentration of CBD varies, so you will need to try a couple before you find something that works for you.
If you’re asking how much CBD oil to take, the answer will vary. However, because pain is typically in a concentrated area, and orally ingested CBD travels throughout our entire body, we recommend starting with a minimum of 50mg of CBD a day.
Most likely it will need to be higher.
Keep in mind that it takes a while for cannabidiol oil to work on pain. This is why it’s only recommended for chronic pain, and not if you get a boo boo.
CBD oil for pain can take up to two weeks to take effect. Once cannabidiol oil gets into our bloodstream it works for the CB receptors in our ECS system, which are located throughout the body.
Therefore, it’s not your entire dosage that will go to fight the pain/inflammation.
Make sure you take your CBD daily, and don’t get discouraged.
Unlike topicals, the CBD oil should work from the inside on not just masking the pain, but on helping to bring down the inflammation and fighting the actual cause of the pain itself.
5. How much CBD should I take daily?
